It's not as if she isn't used to coy words and jokes - she is married to Byerly, after all. She knows better than to take anything at face value, always looking beyond the words to see what someone else might be saying or thinking.
For now, her eyes peer at the cut and she frowns. She's not angry, necessarily, but her disappointment and frustration is paramount.
This is why she needs to be here, and this is why she needs more surgeons and healers that don't rely on magic.
"Yes, I imagine so," she shakes her head, getting her paste and beginning to, gently, apply it to the wound. "This will help against any infection that might have begun here. I don't imagine you will need leeching."
